For organizers
Departist is a shelf of open art calls that artists trust because nothing on it was paid for. Every listing is read off the organizer’s own page: the deadline, the entry fee, what it actually gives. If it’s real and it’s clear, it’s on the shelf and in the weekly Briefing. That’s it.
Send us the URL. We check four things: the deadline is real, the fee is stated, what you give is stated, and an artist can tell from your page who is eligible. Pass, and you’re listed, free, with a page of your own on departist.com. Fail, and we tell you exactly which of the four to fix. There is no fee for either answer and no fee to be listed.
If we got a detail wrong, or the deadline moved, or you want your logo on the page, write us with the call’s URL and we fix it, usually the same day. Free.
A Featured spot puts your call at the top of its shelf and into the Briefing that week. It is always labeled Featured, so artists know it’s placement, not our pick. We’re setting the price with the first organizers who ask; write us and we’ll tell you where it stands.
What we won’t do: take money to list a call, take money to skip vetting, or hide a fee. The shelf is only worth something to you because artists believe it.
